On Friday, June 5th 2026, « Chip On Your Shoulder » the 5th and final single taken from the 10th album « RED SUN » was released.
It contains the following tracks :
1. CHIP ON YOUR SHOULDER remix 3:31
2. THE HAPPY PILL 2:50
3. CHIP ON YOUR SHOULDER extended dance mix 5:51
On track 1 the single remixed version which is shortened by 30 seconds. On track 2 you can find the previously unreleased joyous track « The Happy Pill ».
And on track 3 there’s the usual extended version of track 1 which expands it to almost 6 minutes.
I love the sounds used on « Chip On Your Shoulder », they are very beautiful including the electronic zap one. I think they all came from the Serum software.
This song is soft and reminiscent of 80’s music at the same time, it’s very special. That’s why I released it as a single when more obvious choices could have been made like « Lightning In My Mind » or « My Escape In The Air ».
Since « Chip On Your Shoulder » was quite melancholic I wanted a very uplifting b-side to go along with it, hence the very quirky and bouncing « The Happy Pill ».

Single 55 Chip On Your Shoulder
Le vendredi 5 juin est sorti « Chip On Your Shoulder » le 5ème et dernier extrait du 10ème album « RED SUN ».
Il comprend les morceaux suivants :
1. CHIP ON YOUR SHOULDER remix 3:31
2. THE HAPPY PILL 2:50
3. CHIP ON YOUR SHOULDER extended dance mix 5:51
En titre 1 on trouve la version remix du single qui est raccourcie de 30 secondes par rapport à la version album. En titre 2 on trouve l’inédit joyeux et sautillant « The Happy Pill ».
Enfin en titre 3 on retrouve, comme souvent la version longue du titre 1 qui rallonge le morceau jusqu’à près de 6 minutes.
J’aime beaucoup les sons utilisés sur « Chip On Your Shoulder », ils sont très beaux je trouve y compris le son de zap électronique. Je pense que ces sons venaient tous du synthé logiciel Serum.
Ce titre est très agréable à écouter car il est doux et sonne aussi très années 80 ce qui le rend très spécial. C’est la raison pour laquelle je l’ai choisi pour sortir en single là où d’autres titres auraient plus évidents auraient aussi pu être choisis tels que « Lightning In My Mind » ou « My Escape In The Air ».
Comme « Chip On Your Shoulder » est un titre assez mélancolique je voulais pour contrebalancer un titre 2 plus joyeux et sautillant, d’où la création du titre « The Happy Pill » spécifiquement comme bonus pour ce single.
