« Infinite Star » the 5th single taken from the 8th album « DISCO INFINITO » was released on Friday, August 1st 2025.

« Infinite Star » is probably the most techno track of the album and also my most techno track this far. I like the outrageously coloured sleeve it reminds me the sleeve of records made by 90’s acts, very colourful.
It’s the first single sleeve where I didn’t even wrote « The Edit King » on it. After 4 singles sleeves with the word « Infinite » on it, I figured everyone following me and liking my music would figure it out « Infinite Star » is a single of mine, so why bothering writing it.
Some streaming and download platforms however insist on the artist name to be on the sleeve, so just for me, I added it on an alternate take of the sleeve, but for me, the original one will always be the one on top and not this one here below :
The original plan for this single was that the track « Infinite Rats » was going to be the b-side or extra-track for this single. But every person who listened to it kept saying to me « this can’t be a b-side, it’s so good, you’re crazy ». And eventually I got convinced.
But it would have made sense since « Rats » is « Star » spelled backwards. So I thought I was very clever making the b-side the same title with just the 2nd word spelled backwards. But my friends were right « Infinite Rats » was too good a song just to be a b-side.
That’s also why the album « DISCO INFINITO » contains 11 tracks and not the usual 10. « Infinite Rats » being a latest addition. I thought of removing « Infinite Vibe » and making it a b-side but the album needed its freshness and its different style. All the others tracks looking too much alike.
But « Infinite Rats » not being a b-side, I had to write a new track for « Infinite Star »’s extra-track for the single. That’s when « Infinite Icon » came to fruition. A track even more techno than « Infinite Star » to fit even more than its mood that « Infinite Rats » could.
My sister, not very found of the techno atmosphere of the song « Infinite Star » even confide in me that she actually prefers « Infinite Icon » over « Infinite Star ».

« Infinite Star » le 5ème extrait de l’album « DISCO INFINITO » est sorti le vendredi 1er août 2025.

« Infinite Star » est probablement le titre le plus techno de l’album « DISCO INFINITO » et sans doute le titre le plus techno de toute ma discographie. J’aime la pochette de l’album et ses couleurs fluos, ça me rappelle les pochettes de disques des titres dance et technos des années 90, toujours aussi très colorées.
C’est la première pochette de single ou je n’écris même plus « The Edit King » dessus. Après 4 pochettes de singles avec le mot « Infinite » dessus, je me suis dit que mes fans ou les personnes qui suivent ma musique, savent désormais que les titres qui commence par le mot « Infinite » sont des titres à moi depuis le temps alors pourquoi le préciser.
Cependant certaines plateformes d’écoute et de téléchargements légaux exigent que le nom de l’artiste figure sur les pochettes, aussi, rien que pour elles, nous avons du produire un équivalent de cette pochette ou « The Edit King » est écrit, donc la voici. Mais pour moi la vraie pochette est celle plus haut et non pas celle ci-dessous :
Le plan prévu à l’origine pour ce site était que la face B ou le titre bonus de ce single serait le titre « Infinite Rats ». Mais toutes les personnes qui écoutaient ce titre me disaient « ce titre est trop bon pour être un face B ou un titre bonus, tu es fou. » que finalement je me suis laissé convaincre.
Mais cela aurait fait sens car « Rats » est « Star » épellé à l’envers. Alors je me trouvais plutôt habile de faire de « Infinte Rats » la face B de « Infinte Star ». Mais mes conseillers avaient raison, « Infinte Rats » est un titre trop bon pour juste être un titre bonus je suppose.
C’est aussi ce changement de dernière minute qui a fait que l’album « DISCO INFINITO » contient 11 titres et pas les 10 titres habituel : « Infinte Rats » étant un ajout de dernière minute.
J’ai même pensé à retirer le titre « Infinite Vibe » de l’album et faire de ce titre une face B ou un titre bonus mais l’album avait besoin d’un titre aussi différent que « Infinite Vibe » il ajouté de la variété, les autres titres étant tous à peu près dans le même style.
Mais puisque « Infinite Rats » a fini par ne plus être juste un titre bonus, du coup, il me fallait un titre bonus pour le single de « Infinite Star » et c’est ainsi qu’est né le titre « Infinite Icon » : un titre encore plus techno presque que « Infinite Star » qui allait bien mieux avec « Infinite Star » que « Infinite Rats » en fin de compte.
Le plus drôle c’est que même ma soeur qui n’était pas très adepte du style techno de « Infinite Star » m’a avoué récemment lui préféré même « Infinite Icon ».
