\u00ab How Could I Forget ? \u00bb, the 3rd single from the 4th album \u00ab POP STORM \u00bb was released on Friday, June 2nd 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new extended mix is basically the same as the old one but just shortened a bit because I realized that during the recording and conception of the album back in 2019, I had a tendency to make extendeds a little bit too long, 7 or sometimes 8 minutes long. I like them shorter now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The single version was modified a tad bit too starting now only with the drums for a more dramatic effect. In fact I tried 2 other different single mixes before chosing this one but this one is definitely the best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab Change The World \u00bb was an old 2009 song that I chose remodelled in 2021 with my new and improved musical capabilities. In fact many of the \u00ab POP STORM  \u00bb b-sides or extra-tracks are all old tracks that I wrote originally between 2007 and 2010 that I revamped a bit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maybe much later I might published the original versions some day for free but these new and improved versions are really the best so no-one is missing anything special really. Because here I greatly improved all of them for inclusion as extra-tracks on the \u00ab POP STORM \u00bb singles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Personally I just love \u00ab How Could I Forget ? \u00bb. All around me people keep saying to me that I’m crazy not to release \u00ab Take Life By Storm \u00bb first, and they are probably right. In fact \u00ab Take Life By Storm \u00bb was supposed to be released first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The singles were supposed to be released originally in the order their extended versions all appear on the album. Then, during the process of finalising the album, I feel so much in love again with \u00ab Spinning In Your Grave \u00bb and \u00ab How Could I Forget ? \u00bb that I scrambled the order a bit at the last minute. But that’s the artist’s prerogative, right ? \ud83d\ude09 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sleeve for this single is again, proof of my twisted sense of humor. When I thought about the tile of the song, I thought to myself, what are the symbols of forgetting something if not maybe a brain and a post-it. Since I couldn’t find an interresting pictures of a brain, I decided upon a post-it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I know some of my record sleeves might seem maybe unprofessionnal, but I’ve made them all myself and I pour all my heart into them. And for me there’s just one rule : the colours must often be flashy. What’s the point of releasing a record with a bleak cover no-one might not want to hear, right ? \ud83d\ude42 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

La nouvelle version longue en titre 3 est en fait la m\u00eame que celle de l’album, juste en un peu plus raccourcie car je me suis rendu compte qu’au moment o\u00f9 j’ai \u00e9crit et con\u00e7u cet album en 2019, j’avais tendance \u00e0 faire des versions longues plut\u00f4t tr\u00e8s longue, genre 7 ou 8 minutes. Alors qu’aujourd’hui je les pr\u00e9f\u00e8re un peu plus courtes, donc j’ai agi. .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La version single a \u00e9t\u00e9 modifi\u00e9e un peu aussi. Elle commence d\u00e9sormais avec juste la batterie pour un effet un peu plus dramatique. En fait j’ai produit 2 autres versions singles pour ce titre, mais cette version-ci est vraiment la meilleure je trouve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab Change The World \u00bb \u00e9tait un vieux titre de 2009 que j’ai d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de remodeller en 2021 avec mes nouvelles capacit\u00e9s technologiques. En fait la plupart des face B et des titres bonus de l’\u00e8re \u00ab POP STORM  \u00bb ont toutes leur source dans des titres que j’avais \u00e9crit entre 2007 et 2010 et que j’ai am\u00e9lior\u00e9 quelque peu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peut-\u00eatre qu’un jour je publierais les versions originales gratuitement mais ces \u00ab nouvelles \u00bb versions sont vraiment meilleures, donc vous ne ratez rien en attendant car je les ai grandement am\u00e9lior\u00e9es avant de les int\u00e9grer sur les diff\u00e9rents singles de \u00ab POP STORM \u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En ce qui me concerne, j’adore vraiment trop \u00ab How Could I Forget ? \u00bb. Tout autour de moi, mes proches me disaient que j’\u00e9tais dingue de la sortir avant \u00ab Take Life By Storm \u00bb et ils ont s\u00fbrement raison. D’ailleurs \u00ab Take Life By Storm \u00bb \u00e9taient cens\u00e9 \u00eatre le 1er single extrait de l’album.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les singles de cet album \u00e9taient cens\u00e9s sortir originellement dans l’ordre o\u00f9 se trouvent actuellement les versions longues sur l’album. Mais au moment de finaliser l’ordre des titres, \u00e0 la toute derni\u00e8re minute, je suis tomb\u00e9 fou amoureux de titres comme \u00ab Spinning In Your Grave \u00bb et \u00ab How Could I Forget ? \u00bb et donc j’ai tout chang\u00e9 \u00e0 la derni\u00e8re minute. C’est moi l’artiste, je peux faire ce que je veux, non ? \ud83d\ude09 C’est ma pr\u00e9rogative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La pochette de ce single est encore un des nombreuses preuves de mon humour un peu d\u00e9cal\u00e9 je pense. Quand je pensais au titre de cette chanson \u00ab comment oublierais-je ? \u00bb, les images qui me venaient en t\u00eate \u00e9taient celles d’un cerveau ou d’un post-it. Et comme je n’ai pas trouv\u00e9 d’image ou de photo plut\u00f4t jolie d’un cerveau, j’ai opt\u00e9 pour le post-it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

J’ai bien conscience que certaines de mes pochettes de disques peuvent sembler pas toujours tr\u00e8s professionnel mais je les fait toutes moi-m\u00eame et j’y mets tout mon coeur. Alors m\u00eame si le r\u00e9sultat est loin d’\u00eatre parfait parfois, il me repr\u00e9sente bien je trouve. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Et pour moi en la mati\u00e8re, tout ce qui compte la plupart du temps c’est que la pochette de disque ait des couleurs flashy : c’est ma seule r\u00e8gle. Faut qu’elle se fasse remarquer pour attirer l’oeil au moins. Car quel serait l’int\u00e9r\u00eat de faire une pochette de disques sombre et d\u00e9primante au risque que personne ne souhaite l’\u00e9couter ensuite, c’est pas vrai ? \ud83d\ude42 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
