\u00ab Careful What I Wish For \u00bb the second single from the 4th album \u00ab POP STORM\u00a0\u00bb was released in May 5th 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new album will be called \u00ab POP STORM \u00bb because half of the tracks are pop when the other half are more dark and reflective tracks. The first single \u00ab Spinning In Your Grave \u00bb showed the first half, this one shows the other half : the more dynamic and powerful dance tracks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notice that this is the first time one of my tracks has an emphasis on guitars. There will be more in the future like \u00ab You Rock Me Up \u00bb that will appear on the 5th album or \u00ab Peace My Friend \u00bb which will appear much much later. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is song is my sister’s favorite. When I told her I will be releasing it only on my 4th album she said to me \u00ab\u00a0are you crazy, this should be your first single ever\u00a0\u00bb ! She loves it so much, I’m glad I can finally say to her, now you can download and hear it finally on-line. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The b-side \u00ab The Real You \u00bb was an old 2007 song that I loved so much. It was part of an album I made in 2007 called \u00ab One Of A Kind \u00bb but where I played everything live without using MIDI or computers. So I revamped and modernized it a bit to adjust it to the quality of the stuff I do now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But since it was supposed to be a single, I also made an extended back then, so I revamped and modernized the extended version as well. I love the fact that this track is almost as energetic if not even more so than the A-side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I always try to do b-sides that are in the same vein\/style as the a-side or at least are an answer to the A-side song. That’s why the b-side for \u00ab STOP (saying what people want to hear) \u00bb is called \u00ab START (doing only what you want) \u00bb. You can call it my twisted sense of humour I guess. lol<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le nouvel album s’appellera \u00ab POP STORM \u00bb car la moiti\u00e9 des titres seront pop alors que l’autre moiti\u00e9 sera des titres plus sombres et r\u00e9flectifs. Le 1er single \u00ab Spinning In Your Grave \u00bb montrait la partie sombre, celui-ci repr\u00e9sente l’autre moiti\u00e9 : le c\u00f4t\u00e9 plus dynamique et dance de l’album.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remarquez que ce morceau est le 1er des mes titres \u00e0 mettre l’emphase sur les guitares. Il y aura plus de morceaux comme celui-l\u00e0 \u00e0 l’avenir comme \u00ab You Rock Me Up \u00bb qui appara\u00eetra sur le 5\u00e8me album ou \u00ab Peace My Friend \u00bb qui sortira sans doute beaucoup, beaucoup plus tard. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cette chanson est la pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9e de ma soeur. Quand je lui ai dit que j’allais la mettre sur mon 4\u00e8me album elle m’a dit \u00ab\u00a0tu es fou, elle aurait tu \u00eatre ton 1er single\u00a0\u00bb ! Elle l’aime tellement, je suis heureux de pouvoir lui dire qu’elle peut enfin la t\u00e9l\u00e9charger ou l’\u00e9couter en ligne. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

La face B \u00ab The Real You \u00bb est un vieux titre de 2007 que j’aime beaucoup. Elle faisait partie d’un album que j’ai \u00e9crit en 2007 et qui s’appelait \u00ab One Of A Kind \u00bb mais o\u00f9 j’ai enregistr\u00e9 tous les instruments en live sans utiliser d’ordinateur ou de syst\u00e8me MIDI. Je l’ai donc am\u00e9lior\u00e9e et modernis\u00e9e un peu de sorte \u00e0 ce qu’elle corresponde davantage \u00e0 la qualit\u00e9 de titres que je produit aujourd’hui. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mais comme c’\u00e9tait cens\u00e9 \u00eatre un single, j’avais \u00e9galement produit une version longue, ce qui explique sa pr\u00e9sence ici \u00e9galement. J’ai aussi am\u00e9lior\u00e9 et reboost\u00e9 la version longue. J’aime le fait que ce titre soit aussi \u00e9nergique si ce n’est plus encore que sa face A.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

J’essaye toujours de produire des faces B qui sont dans le m\u00eame style ou le m\u00eame esprit que les face A. Parfois la face B est m\u00eame une r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 la face B. C’est pourquoi par exemple, la face B du single \u00ab STOP (saying what people want to hear) \u00bb s’appelle \u00ab START (doing only what you want) \u00bb. On peut appeler \u00e7a mon sens de l’humour tordu sans doute mdr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
