\u00ab Spinning… \u00bb is the first glance at the dark underground side of The Edit King, and the track \u00ab Sweet… \u00bb even more so. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I wrote \u00ab Spinning In Your Grave \u00bb a few months after my father died. I wrote 3 tracks about him. \u00ab Daddy Listen \u00bb & \u00ab His Country Is In His Soul \u00bb which were very uplifting and \u00ab Spinning… \u00bb which is the darker one but also my favorite. I intend to release the other 2 tracks as well in the years to come, but I was eager to release this one first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the lyrics \u00ab a son is \u00ab almost \u00bb relieved that his father died so he’s not able, maybe, to see all the mistakes and awful things his son is doing right now \u00bb. My sister called this track a \u00ab an ideal rainy day kind of song \u00bb and I think she’s right. That moody atmosphere is what makes this track so special to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love the human chorus voice sound. Originally it had much more echo delay effects on it that I stripped bare and I’m very pleased with the result. I often like to add echo, release and chorus effects on my main melody sounds but this time, I find the result much more satisfying this way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The extended mix on track 3 is the first one I made but recently I made another one which is much more fun to listen, especially at the end. I had really a great time redoing this song there. The 2nd extended version will be released as track 14 on the album \u00ab POP STORM \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The album will be released on May 5th with the 2nd single a week later. It will have 10 tracks including \u00ab Spinning… \u00bb and 5 extended remixes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

J’ai \u00e9crit \u00ab Spinning In Your Grave \u00bb quelques mois apr\u00e8s le d\u00e9c\u00e8s de mon p\u00e8re. J’ai \u00e9crit 3 titres \u00e0 son sujet \u00ab Daddy Listen \u00bb et \u00ab His Country Is In His Soul \u00bb qui sont assez joyeux et \u00ab Spinning… \u00bb qui est le titre le plus sombre des 3 mais aussi mon pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9. J’ai bien l’intention de sortir les 2 autres morceaux \u00e9galement dans les ann\u00e9es \u00e0 venir mais j’\u00e9tais beaucoup plus press\u00e9 de sortir celui-ci, je l’avoue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dans les paroles, \u00ab un fils est \u00ab presque \u00bb soulag\u00e9 que son p\u00e8re soit mort car ainsi il n’est peut-\u00eatre plus en mesure de voir toutes les b\u00e9tises et les errances que fait son fils \u00bb. D’o\u00f9 le titre, sinon il s’en \u00ab retournerait dans sa tombe \u00bb. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ma soeur a appel\u00e9 ce morceau \u00ab la chanson id\u00e9ale pour les jours de pluie \u00bb. et je crois qu’elle n’a pas tort. Son c\u00f4t\u00e9 m\u00e9lancolique et presque triste est ce qui la rend si sp\u00e9ciale pour moi je crois.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

J’adore ce son de voix presque humaine utilis\u00e9 comme m\u00e9lodie. A l’origine ce son avait beaucoup plus de r\u00e9verb\u00e9ration, d’\u00e9chos et d’effets num\u00e9riques sur lui mais j’ai retir\u00e9 tous les effets et accentu\u00e9 son c\u00f4t\u00e9 abrupte et j’avoue que je suis tr\u00e8s satisfait du r\u00e9sultat. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

La version longue en titre 3 du single est le premier remix version longue de cette chanson que j’avais fait. R\u00e9cemment j’en ai fait un 2\u00e8me qui est beaucoup plus marrant \u00e0 \u00e9couter, surtout \u00e0 la fin. Je me suis vraiment amus\u00e9 \u00e0 r\u00e9-inventer ce morceau sur ce 2nd remix. Il sera rendu disponible en titre 14 de l’album \u00ab POP STORM \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n
