On Friday, January 2nd 2026, \u00ab\u00a0So Sick Of You Too\u00a0\u00bb : the 4th single of the 9th album \u00ab\u00a0KING OF THE NIGHT\u00a0\u00bb was released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m not crazy about this song and I think that the drums are being put too forward in the mix that they should have. But the whole thing was recorded and finalized before I realized it so it was too late to change it but the single remix being shorter is better than the album version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m quite proud of the extended remix though (I love the ending it’s wicked I think the way it ends). I love those electronic sounds, it reminds me of a track from Depeche Mode that I love called \u00ab\u00a0Personal Jesus\u00a0\u00bb. That’s why I released it as a single.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But if it weren’t for those specific electronic sounds which makes this song unique, I think I would have released \u00ab\u00a0Ready For Another World\u00a0\u00bb or \u00ab\u00a0Dots Your I’s And Cross Your T’s\u00a0\u00bb as a single instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab\u00a0Dots Your I’s And Cross Your T’s\u00a0\u00bb would have made a nice Christmas single but that would have meant to push \u00ab\u00a0Modern Age\u00a0\u00bb as a single to January but I love this song too much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even though \u00ab\u00a0Dots Your I’s And Cross Your T’s\u00a0\u00bb isn’t a Christmas song per say, I think its sounds made it sound like a Christmas song more than anything I’ve made even though it’s not on the level of Wham!\/George Michael’s \u00ab\u00a0Last Christmas\u00a0\u00bb obviously. \u00ab\u00a0Last Christmas\u00a0\u00bb is the perfect Christmas song for me (sorry Mariah). \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hell even \u00ab\u00a0The Devil In A Three-Piece-Suit\u00a0\u00bb would have made a great single. I loved this track very much until someone said to me (I think it was my sister) that it sounded too much like \u00ab\u00a0Infinite Wisdom\u00a0\u00bb and that \u00ab\u00a0Infinite Wisdom\u00a0\u00bb was so much better. I don’t think it sound like it that much but oh well….<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As often the b-side or extra-track for this single \u00ab\u00a0Don’t Sell Yourself Short\u00a0\u00bb is a killer track. The only reason it wasn’t on the album is because it sounded too much like an 80’s song so it’s place wasn’t on a mainly techno-sounding album like \u00ab\u00a0KING OF THE NIGHT\u00a0\u00bb. But I’m still very proud of it. One of my better extra-tracks I think.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think the cover for the single is quite clever. This electronic health thermometer was really my own from years ago (I cleaned it really well before the photoshoot obviously ah ah) and when I tried to use it for the last time it really displayed this error message which I think was a clever way to illustrate a malfunction like the dysfonctionnal relationship this track is about (and being literally sick of someone). One of my numerous tongue-in-cheek sleeves. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Je ne suis pas fou fou de ce titre et je pense que les batteries particuli\u00e8rement sont trop en avant dans le mix final de ces morceaux (versions album, version courte ou version longue). Mais ces morceaux ont \u00e9t\u00e9 enregistr\u00e9s si vite que lorsque je m’en suis rendu compte, il \u00e9tait d\u00e9j\u00e0 impossible de revenir en arri\u00e8re. Du coup le fait que la version single soit 1 minute plus courte que la version est une bonne chose je pense. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

En revanche je suis assez fier de la version longue. J’adore la fa\u00e7on dont ce mix se termine (la fin est g\u00e9niale je trouve). J’adore ces petits sons \u00e9lectroniques qui me rappellent un titre de D\u00e9p\u00eache Mode que j’aimais beaucoup quand j’\u00e9tais jeune \u00ab\u00a0Personal Jesus\u00a0\u00bb et qui avait aussi des sons un peu comme \u00e7a. C’est pour \u00e7a que j’ai sorti ce titre en single. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mais s’il n’y avait pas eu ces sons \u00e9lectroniques superbes, j’aurais s\u00fbrement sorti d’autres titres de l’album \u00e0 la place comme \u00ab\u00a0Ready For Another World\u00a0\u00bb ou encore \u00ab\u00a0Dots Your I’s And Cross Your T’s\u00a0\u00bb qui sont bien meilleurs je pense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab\u00a0Dots Your I’s And Cross Your T’s\u00a0\u00bb aurait fait un tr\u00e8s bon single pour No\u00ebl je trouve mais cela aurait voulu dire repousser encore jusqu’\u00e0 janvier la sortie du titre \u00ab\u00a0Modern Age\u00a0\u00bb en single et j’\u00e9tais trop press\u00e9 de la sortir car je l’adore tellement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

M\u00eame si \u00ab\u00a0Dots Your I’s And Cross Your T’s\u00a0\u00bb n’est pas un titre de No\u00ebl \u00e9videmment, je pense que ces sons et son ambiance g\u00e9n\u00e9rale font penser \u00e0 No\u00ebl m\u00eame si on est tr\u00e8s loin de la qualit\u00e9 d’un \u00ab\u00a0Last Christmas\u00a0\u00bb de Wham!\/George Michael que je v\u00e9n\u00e8re par dessous tout bien \u00e9videmment. C’est la chanson de No\u00ebl id\u00e9ale pour moi (d\u00e9sol\u00e9 Mariah) \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mais pour moi m\u00eame \u00ab\u00a0The Devil In A Three-Piece-Suit\u00a0\u00bb aurait pu faire un tr\u00e8s bon single. Et j’y pensais tr\u00e8s s\u00e9rieusement jusqu’\u00e0 ce que quelqu’un me dise (je pense que c’\u00e9tait ma soeur) que ce titre ressemblait trop \u00e0 \u00ab\u00a0Infinite Wisdom\u00a0\u00bb et que \u00ab\u00a0Infinite Wisdom\u00a0\u00bb \u00e9tait bien meilleur. Je ne crois pas que les titres se ressemblent tant que \u00e7a mais ok….<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comme souvent le titre en face-B\/bonus \u00ab\u00a0Don’t Sell Yourself Short\u00a0\u00bb est un super morceau. La seule raison qui a fait qu’il ne soit pas sur l’album c’est que ce titre sonne trop ann\u00e9es 80 donc il n’aurait pas vraiment coll\u00e9 je pense sur l’album \u00ab\u00a0KING OF THE NIGHT\u00a0\u00bb qui est un titre \u00e0 base de titres techno dance principalement. Mais je suis quand m\u00eame toujours tr\u00e8s fier de ce titre et je pense que c’est une de mes meilleures face B.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Je pense que la pochette du single est \u00e0 la fois tr\u00e8s habile et marante. Ce termom\u00e8tre \u00e9lectronique \u00e9tait vraiment \u00e0 moi et je l’ai utilis\u00e9 il y a tr\u00e8s longtemps (bien \u00e9videmment je l’ai bien nettoy\u00e9 avant de le prendre en photo lol). Mais la derni\u00e8re fois que je l’ai utilis\u00e9, il m’a justement affich\u00e9 ce message d’erreur et je trouvais \u00e0 la fois tr\u00e8s habile et tr\u00e8s dr\u00f4le cette photo, parfaite pour illustrer une relation toxique et dissonante (et le fait que quelqu’un vous rendre litt\u00e9rallement malade avec son attitude) comme il est question dans ce morceau. Encore une de mes pochettes ou l’humour et les sous-entendus sont pr\u00e9sents. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n
