\u00ab Prophetic Dreams \u00bb is without a doubt one of the best songs of the new album. For the single remix, it has to be enhanced with a straight to the point beginning where the album version started slowly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve always been a big fan of the band Duran Duran so their album\/compilation called \u00ab CARNIVAL \u00bb has always been a milestone for me as they were pioneers in music videos. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When she first heard this song my sister told me right away that the speedy music of this track reminded her of the merry-go-rounds and Bollywood style of music. One of my friends told me the melody sounded like the music for the movie \u00ab Mortal Combat \u00bb. Funny all these interpretations of the same piece of music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But my sister having said that and me always influenced by my tastes in music (always) that’s why the single and extended mix of \u00ab Prophetic Dreams \u00bb bear the word \u00ab carnival \u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the b-side or extra-track for this single I always wanted a track so very different from the a-side, so that’s why I thought a music that almost sounded like classical music was the way to go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fact that it’s called \u00ab Cold Hard Facts \u00bb is a nod to another of my earlier music tastes : Paula Abdul and her great song \u00ab Cold Hearted \u00bb (sssssnake). \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I always thought the album \u00ab KING OF THE NIGHT \u00bb was pretty extreme in its musical styles (mostly techno and dance) and that it might alienate people who don’t like that kind of music but I’ve very pleased with the feedback I’m getting from my friends and all the people who listen to it and like it very much. Now I’m worried about if they’re gonna like the next one, ah ah, it’s never ending stress, I guess.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the single was called prophetic I wanted to have all the horoscope signs on the sleeve but I can’t draw anything, I’m just incapable of drawing anything so I was very pleased to find her work to help me promote a great visual for my new single. Kudos to her. Her illustrations are gorgeous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab Prophetic Dreams \u00bb est sans aucun doute un des meilleurs titres du nouvel album. without a doubt one of the best songs of the new album. Pour la version single remix, j’ai choisi de commencer le morceau par une introduction qui plus droit au but que la version album dont la progression vers la m\u00e9lodie principale \u00e9tait plus lente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

J’ai toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 un grand fan du groupe Duran Duran et leur album-compilation am\u00e9ricaine \u00ab CARNIVAL \u00bb \u00e9tant un disque mythique pour moi tout comme ils ont tous \u00e9t\u00e9 des pionniers dans tout ce qu’ils produisaient dont les clips vid\u00e9os.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quand ma soeur a entendu ce titre pour la premi\u00e8re fois elle m’a dit que la musique lui faisait penser \u00e0 la fois \u00e0 une musique de Bollywood ou encore \u00e0 des man\u00e8ges qui acc\u00e9l\u00e8rent tr\u00e8s tr\u00e8s vite. Un de mes amis, lui, pense que la m\u00e9lodie principale ressemble \u00e0 la musique du film \u00ab Mortal Combat \u00bb. C’est dr\u00f4le ces impressions toutes diff\u00e9rentes au sujet d’un m\u00eame morceau de musique, \u00e7a m’amuse et me plait beaucoup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mais ma soeur ayant dit \u00e7a \u00e0 propos des man\u00e8ges comme dans les f\u00eates foraines et un peu aussi en hommage \u00e0 DD, voil\u00e0 la raison pour laquelle pour \u00ab Prophetic Dreams \u00bb ses versions single courte et sa version longue portent le mot \u00ab carnival \u00bb dedans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour la face B, le titre suppl\u00e9mentaire de ce single, je voulais un titre \u00e0 l’ambiance tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rente de la face A. Aussi un titre avec un style presque proche de la musique classique s’imposait. C’est un des titres les plus diff\u00e9rents de mon r\u00e9pertoire et j’aime \u00e7a (violons et tout).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le fait que ce titre s’appelle \u00ab Cold Hard Facts \u00bb est encore un clin d’oeil \u00e0 mes go\u00fbts musicaux du pass\u00e9 comme cette fois-ci Paula Abdul et sa g\u00e9niale chanson \u00ab Cold Hearted \u00bb (sssssnake). \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

J’ai toujours trouv\u00e9 que mon album \u00ab KING OF THE NIGHT \u00bb avait un univers et un son assez extr\u00eame (principalement de la techno et de la dance musique assez dure) et je pensais donc que c’est un disque qui ne plairait pas \u00e0 tout le monde mais je suis tr\u00e8s agr\u00e9ablement surpris qu’il plaise \u00e0 autant de gens au final (tant parmi mes amis proches que parmi toutes les personnes qui l’\u00e9coute, \u00e0 qui il a beaucoup plu et qui m’en parlent. Maintenant du coup c’est au sujet du prochain album que je m’inqui\u00e8te (plaira-t-il autant ?), ah ah, ce stress ne cesse donc jamais j’imagine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Puisque le morceau s’appelle r\u00eaves pr\u00e9monitoires je voulais qu’il y ait des dessins des signes du zodiaque sur la pochette mais j’aurais \u00e9t\u00e9 bien incapable de les reproduire fid\u00e8lement, je suis dramatiquement nul en dessin. Vous imaginez donc \u00e0 quel point j’\u00e9tais soulag\u00e9 de trouver ses illustrations \u00e0 elle afin de pouvoir les utiliser pour promovoir de fa\u00e7on belle et fi\u00e8re mon nouveau single. Bravo encore \u00e0 elle pour ses illustrations qui sont tout simplement sublimes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
