On Friday, December 6th 2024, \u00ab\u00a0Karma Drama\u00a0\u00bb, the 4th single taken from the 7th album \u00ab\u00a0CRAZY BEATS AND PIECES\u00a0\u00bb was released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This track is the energy peak of my latest album. It’s no wonder I ended the album with it because what could you add to top this tune ? Nothing. It’s largely inspired by high energy songs from Dead Or Alive to Ace Of Base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s the one and only track of the album I believe where I used the DX-7 software emulation from Native Instruments FM7. Just like in previous single \u00ab\u00a0Is It So Terrible\u00a0\u00bb that’s why I add so many albums between these 2 songs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just like Depeche Mode in the 80’s, I usually don’t like to re-use the same sounds on my songs, but no sound can top a DX-7 bass and I really needed that kind of energy there that only an old Yamaha synth like the DX-7 can provide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Immediately after doing the album version, I made this short mix of it (track 1) where I pushed the bass even further front and center in the mix and just like the album version it had to start and end with that cannonball sample. No other track of mine is like this. It’s really unique and I love it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Track 2 of this single \u00ab\u00a0Not So Much\u00a0\u00bb wasn’t written in that same time period since I had a hard time doing the same style of songs that the 8 of \u00ab\u00a0CRAZY BEATS…\u00a0\u00bb. But I like it too even though it’s a much more relaxed track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had a lot of fun remixing this new extended version (track 3), I love the music of the verses and I really wantd to put the emphasis on this part of the song. Plus I loved all the stops in it. It gives this mix some air to breathe ‘cos it’s a very claustrophobic track otherwise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Track 4 is one of the 2 short mixes of track 7 of the album \u00ab\u00a0Lost Everything\u00a0\u00bb. This is the second one. The first one will be released shortly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce titre repr\u00e9sente le pic \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique de mon dernier album. Ce n’est pas \u00e9tonnant du coup que j’ai souhait\u00e9 finir l’album avec ce titre car quoi mettre apr\u00e8s lui ? Ben rien je ne pouvais pas justement car rien ne peut faire plus fort que ce titre-l\u00e0. Il est tr\u00e8s largement inspir\u00e9 de titres tr\u00e8s \u00e9nergiques de Dead Or Alive ou d’Ace Of Base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C’est un des seuls titres je pense ou j’ai utilis\u00e9 le logiciel d’\u00e9mulation du synth\u00e9tiseur de Yamaha DX-7 de Native Instruments FM7. Tout comme sur l’un de mes singles pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents \u00ab\u00a0Is It So Terrible\u00a0\u00bb c’est pourquoi j’ai mis tellement d’albums entre ces 2 titres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Car tout comme Depeche Mode dans les ann\u00e9es 80, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement je n’aime pas r\u00e9-utiliser les m\u00eames sons sur mes morceaux, mais il faut dire qu’aucun son ne peut pas un son de bass du DX-7 bass and I really lorsque l’on veut une basse puissante et cette \u00e9nergie que seule peut fournir un synth\u00e9 comme le vieux synth\u00e9 de Yamaha DX-7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tout de suite apr\u00e8s avoir produit la version album j’ai faite cette version courte de ce titre (titre 1) o\u00f9 j’ai boost\u00e9 la basse dans le mix pour qu’elle soit encore plus centrale dans le mix final tout comme je souhaitais que cette version \u00e9galement commence et finisse par ce sample de bruitage d’un cannon. Aucun de mes titres ne ressemble \u00e0 celui-ci et je l’adore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le titre 2 de ce single \u00ab\u00a0Not So Much\u00a0\u00bb n’a pas du tout \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9crit pendant la m\u00eame p\u00e9riode que l’album tellement il m’a \u00e9t\u00e9 difficile voire impossible de faire plus des 8 titres de l’album \u00ab\u00a0CRAZY BEATS…\u00a0\u00bb dans ce m\u00eame style tellement l’album est \u00e9nergique. J’aime aussi bien ce titre mais il est beaucoup plus calme bien que toujours assez \u00e9nergique. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Je me suis beaucoup amus\u00e9 \u00e0 remixer cette nouvelle version longue de \u00ab\u00a0Karma Drama\u00a0\u00bb (en titre 3), j’aime beaucoup la musique des couplets (qui sonne vraiment comme Ace Of Base je trouve : p\u00e9riode Da Capo) et je voulais absolument mettre cette partie l\u00e0 en valeur car c’est la partie du morceau que je pr\u00e9f\u00e8re. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plus je me suis beaucoup amus\u00e9 \u00e0 faire quelques coupures dans ce mix qui est tr\u00e8s long. Cela permet \u00e0 ce mix de respirer un peu dans un titre \u00ab\u00a0Karma Drama\u00a0\u00bb qui est quand m\u00eame tr\u00e8s claustrophobique je trouve tant son \u00e9nergie est intense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le titre 4 est une des 2 versions courtes que j’ai produite sur le titre 7 de l’album \u00ab\u00a0Lost Everything\u00a0\u00bb. Ceci est le second mix. Le premier para\u00eetra prochainement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
