3rd single taken from the 6th album \u00ab\u00a0A\u00a0Unique Love \u00bb was released on Friday, June 7th 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It contains the following tracks :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

02. LUCKY CHARM 4:32
03. A UNIQUE LOVE extended cherry mix 7:04<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This track has a unique 80’s feel due to the synths involved : old Roland synths like the Juno-106 and a very dramatic and effective drum pattern. It’s one of my favorite songs of the 6th album \u00ab\u00a0Retroactive Fire \u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has been inspired to me by an old Sandra song called \u00ab\u00a0(Life May Be) A Big Insanity \u00bb. Sandra has always been my favorite singer and I really could have proposed it to her since I think it could really suit her. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The B-side of the single \u00ab\u00a0Lucky Charm \u00bb is much more modern and electronic due again to the Roland synths used like the Jupiter 8 this time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is much more experimental than the A side but that’s what fun about B-sides, I can experiment more. And sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn’t. If it works very well it can even became a single. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My single \u00ab\u00a0The Road To Who You Really Are \u00bb started like this : like a possible B-side contender for one of the \u00ab\u00a0RAVE PARTY \u00bb album singles until I realise it deserved so much more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s why nowadays, everytime I write an album, I don’t only write 10 or 11 songs but 15 or 16 and only at the end of the whole process, I decide which track deserve which fate. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally the 3rd track of this single is as asual the extended version of the main track \u00ab\u00a0A Unique Love \u00bb. I love the ad-libs I added to this remix even though it’s a little bit too long maybe but I love it still. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce titre a un style tr\u00e8s ann\u00e9es 80 voulu et obtenu gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des synth\u00e9s vintage comme le synth\u00e9 Roland Juno-106 et une batterie tr\u00e8s impressionnante et dynamique. C’est un de mes titres pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9s du 6\u00e8me album \u00ab\u00a0Retroactive Fire \u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il m’a \u00e9t\u00e9 inspir\u00e9 par un ancien titre de la chanson allemande Sandra appel\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0(Life May Be) A Big Insanity \u00bb qui est depuis toujours ma chanteuse pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9e. A tel point que je lui aurais bien propos\u00e9, je trouve que c’est un titre qui lui aurait bien all\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La face B du single \u00ab\u00a0Lucky Charm \u00bb sonne beaucoup plus moderne et \u00e9lectronique, encore gr\u00e2ce aux synth\u00e9s Roland utilis\u00e9s comme le Jupiter 8 cette fois-ci. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce titre est beaucoup plus exp\u00e9rimental que sa face A. C’est ce qui m’amuse avec les face B, je peux beaucoup plus improviser et m’\u00e9clater et parfois \u00e7a marche et parfois \u00e7a marche pas mais c’est toujours amusant. Et si un titre marche tr\u00e8s bien, il peut m\u00eame finir en single au final. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mon single \u00ab\u00a0The Road To Who You Really Are \u00bb a d’ailleurs comme \u00e7a, il devait \u00eatre \u00e0 l’origine simplement une face B possible pour l’un des singles de mon album \u00ab\u00a0RAVE PARTY \u00bb jusqu’\u00e0 ce que me rend compte que ce titre m\u00e9ritait bien mieux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C’est la raison pour laquelle, aujourd’hui, \u00e0 chaque fois que j’\u00e9cris un album, je n’\u00e9crit pas seulement 10 ou 11 titres mais plut\u00f4t 15 ou 16. Et c’est seulement \u00e0 la fin de tout le processus d’\u00e9criture de tous les titres que je d\u00e9cide le sort de chacun des morceaux. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enfin le 3\u00e8me titre de ce single est, comme d’habitude la version longue du titre principal \u00ab\u00a0A Unique Love \u00bb. J’adore les parties musicales ajout\u00e9s \u00e0 ce remix, m\u00eame si ce remix est peut-\u00eatre un peu trop long, mais je l’aime quand m\u00eame beaucoup. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
