\u00ab Caught Me By Surprise \u00bb is the 2nd single from the fifth album \u00ab 5 \u00bb. It was released on Friday, November 3rd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This track is my ode to Ace Of Base. I’m a very big fan of theirs and from the moment I started to make music I always wanted to make music like theirs but I was never able to. Probably because they used very expensive software to make their music like Pro Tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And yet, I managed to make this track which I’m very proud of. I’m not trying to copy anyone but since they seemed to have stopped making music, I’m very happy, like many others (like Lady Gaga with \u00ab Alejandro \u00bb or Ava Max with \u00ab Who’s Laughing Now \u00bb) to make this sort of tribute to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the single \u00ab remix \u00bb of the track, I tried to give a little more \u00ab humpf \u00bb to the song by adding more drums and a double melody at the end, melody which I’m very, very found off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are 2 others single edit mixes that I’ve made of the song \u00ab Caught Me By Surprise \u00bb (let’s call them remix 2 and remix 3) they might pop up here and there on future compilations but one just called \u00ab remix \u00bb is the last one I’ve made and the one I’ve the most proud so that why I chose it as the official single version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the way, there is also another single remix for \u00ab Warmer Sky \u00bb too but then again, the one I chose to put on track 1 of the previous single was better. The other one was way too short.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The track \u00ab Trust Me Darling \u00bb was written a long time ago, back in 2009 and I’ve remade it in 2020 for inclusion in this single. For the extended version of \u00ab Caught Me By Surprise \u00bb, I tried to isolate every single sound because, maybe for the first time, I’m very very proud of all these new little sounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are not enough words to say how much I love \u00ab Caught Me By Surprise \u00bb and how much I’m very proud of it. I’ve tried since to replicate this kind of track and I was unable to. So it is a very unique track in my discography and I hope everyone will like it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce titre est mon ode au groupe Ace Of Base. Je suis un tr\u00e8s grand fan d’eux depuis toujours et du moment o\u00f9 j’ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00e9crire ma propre musique, mon but a toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 d’un jour faire de la musique comme la leur mais jusqu’\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent je n’avais jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 en capacit\u00e9 de le faire. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peut \u00eatre car il est de notori\u00e9t\u00e9 publique qu’ils utilisaient pour faire leur musique, des logiciels musiques tr\u00e8s tr\u00e8s chers du genre de Pro Tools que je n’ai jamais pu me payer, \u00e0 mon grand dam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Et pourtant, j’ai r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 faire ce morceau dont je suis tr\u00e8s tr\u00e8s fier. Je n’essaye pas de copier quiconque mais comme ils ont visiblement cess\u00e9 de faire de la musique, je souhaitais rendre hommage \u00e0 leur style de musique inimitable (comme on p\u00fb le faire d\u00e9j\u00e0 par le pass\u00e9 des artistes comme Lady Gaga avec \u00ab Alejandro \u00bb ou encore Ava Max avec \u00ab Who’s Laughing Now \u00bb).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour la version single \u00ab remix \u00bb de ce morceau, j’ai essay\u00e9 de donner un peu plus de punchj \u00e0 ce titre en ajoutant des batteries conqu\u00e9rantes suppl\u00e9mentaires et en doublant la m\u00e9lodie de la fin du morceau, dont je suis vraiment, mais alors vraiment dingue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il existe 2 autres versions singles faites pour le titre \u00ab Caught Me By Surprise \u00bb (appelons les remix 2 et remix 3) et y’a des chances qu’elles apparaissent plus tard sur des best of ou des compilations \u00e0 venir mais c’est la version simplement appel\u00e9e \u00ab remix \u00bb qui \u00e9tait la derni\u00e8re que j’ai faite et qui est celle dont je suis le plus fier. C’est la raison pour laquelle je l’ai choisie pour \u00eatre la version single officielle de cette chanson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

D’ailleurs il existe \u00e9galement une autre version single de \u00ab Warmer Sky \u00bb mais l\u00e0 encore, celle que j’ai mis en titre 1 du single pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent \u00e9tait l\u00e0 encore la version la plus r\u00e9ussie, l’autre \u00e9tant trop courte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le titre \u00ab Trust Me Darling \u00bb, lui, avait \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9crit il y a tr\u00e8s longtemps par moi en 2009 et je l’ai remix\u00e9 en 2020 pour l’inclure dans ce single. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour la version longue de \u00ab Caught Me By Surprise \u00bb, j’ai tent\u00e9 d’isoler individuellement chacun des sons de ce morceau, car sans doute pour la premi\u00e8re fois, je suis tr\u00e8s tr\u00e8s fier de chacun des sons qui composent ce morceau et je tenais \u00e0 leur rendre justice ici.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il n’existe pas suffisament de mots pour d\u00e9crire \u00e0 quel point j’adore ce titre \u00ab Caught Me By Surprise \u00bb et combien j’en suis fier. J’ai tent\u00e9 depuis d’\u00e9crire d’autres morceaux dans cette veine mais en vain. C’est dire \u00e0 quel point ce morceau est aussi sublime qu’unique dans ma discographie. Aussi j’esp\u00e8re que vous l’aimerez tous bien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
