Track 17 \u00ab What\u2019s True Devotion \u00bb was the first track recorded for this album. And even though I usually put the tracks in my albums in the order I’ve made them, I decided not to here. It’s not that I don’t like this track, it’s just that I made so many better ones after it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This whole album was made before I used MIDI (the Musical Instrument Digital Interface) or even computer softwares to make my music. I made it all using just one physical synthesizer : the amazing first YAMAHA DJX (also called PSR-D1)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s the first YAMAHA synth dedicated for dance and techno music. So this album (even though it has its share of depressing tracks), still, it is also filled with super upbeat and dance tracks and has some of the most amazing powerful basses sounds I have ever used. I love this album.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My favorite track is not the most uplifting though, it’s \u00ab Make It This Time \u00bb, it’s a truly beautiful track with a light but haunting melody. That’s why right after the album version (track 10) I had to make a single remix version of it (hence track 19 here as a bonus).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s the first album where you can actually hear my voice for the very first time. There will be others in my next free albums but this is the first. I don’t like my voice so I don’t use it often but here I like it since it’s so very much edited, chopped and transformed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2 tracks where my voice can be heard are Track 5 \u00ab Here For You \u00bb and Track 11 \u00ab Stay With Me (In My Reality) \u00bb. One track of this album was already released, it’s the instrumental track 7 \u00ab The Lady’s Fan \u00bb which made it as an extra-track in my 11th single \u00ab Serendipty \u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hope everyone will like this album like I do. Since I started making music, I always wanted to make dance and techno music, using sampling technology and this synth and this album was the first ones that made this dream of mine a reality so this album will always be special for me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My next free album (number 5) will be released next month, mid-September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le titre 17 \u00ab What\u2019s True Devotion \u00bb a \u00e9t\u00e9 le premier morceau \u00e9crit pour cet album. Et m\u00eame si d’habitude j’aime bien mettre les titres d’un album tr\u00e8s souvent dans l’ordre exact o\u00f9 ils ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9crit (j’aime que l’\u00e9volution de l’\u00e9criture soit visible), ce n’est pas le cas ici.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce n’est pas car je n’aime pas ce morceau c’est juste car j’ai estim\u00e9 que j’avais \u00e9crit des morceaux bien meilleurs et bien plus marquants apr\u00e8s lui alors je pr\u00e9f\u00e9rais plut\u00f4t en mettre d’autres en valeur. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

J’ai \u00e9crit tout cet album bien avant de commencer \u00e0 utiliser du MIDI (la fameuse Interface Musicale pour Instruments de musique num\u00e9riques) ou des logiciels informatique pour cr\u00e9er mes morceaux. J’ai \u00e9crit tous ces morceaux en utilisant un seul synth\u00e9tiseur, l’\u00e9patant 1er : YAMAHA DJX (\u00e9galement appel\u00e9 PSR-D1)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C’\u00e9tait \u00e0 l’\u00e9poque (en 1998) le 1er synth\u00e9tiseur de la firme YAMAHA enti\u00e8rement d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 la composition de titres dance et techno. Donc cet album (malgr\u00e9 le fait qu’il comprenne son lot de titres parfois d\u00e9primants) est aussi remplis de titres dance et joyeux. Et il comprend en outre les plus puissantes et grasses basses que j’ai pu utiliser de toute ma vie. C’est pourquuoi j’adore vraiment cet album. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mon titre pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9 n’est pas le plus joyeux cependant, c’est le titre 10 \u00ab Make It This Time \u00bb, c’est vraiment je trouve un tr\u00e8s joli morceau avec une m\u00e9lodie l\u00e9g\u00e8re et lancinante. C’est pourquoi tout de suite apr\u00e8s avoir finalis\u00e9 la version album (un peu trop longue \u00e0 mon go\u00fbt), j’ai du toute de suite apr\u00e8s faire une version single remix plus courte et digeste. (le titre 19 que l’on retrouve sur cet album en bonus).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

21ST CENTURY est aussi le 1er album o\u00f9 l’on peu entendre ma voix. Je ne suis pas fan de ma voix c’est pourquoi je l’utilise tr\u00e8s peu, mais ici elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 parfois tellement modifi\u00e9e, d\u00e9coup\u00e9e et transform\u00e9e que je la trouve passable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les 2 titres o\u00f9 ma voix peut-\u00eatre entendue sur ce disques sont le titre 5 \u00ab Here For You \u00bb et le titre 11 \u00ab Stay With Me (In My Reality) \u00bb. Un des titres de cet album a d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 sorti par moi auparavant, c’est le titre instrumental \u00ab The Lady’s Fan \u00bb que j’avais d\u00e9j\u00e0 partag\u00e9 en tant que face B in\u00e9dite sur mon 11\u00e8me single \u00ab Serendipty \u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

J’esp\u00e8re que tout le monde aimera cet album autant que je l’aime moi-m\u00eame. Depuis que j’ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 composer de la musique j’ai toujours voulu avoir les moyens de faire de la musique dance et \u00e9lectronique comme la musique sur cet album, donc cet album sera toujours tr\u00e8s sp\u00e9cial pour moi car c’est avec ces morceaux l\u00e0 que j’ai enfin pu r\u00e9aliser la musique de mes r\u00eaves et la transformer pour la premi\u00e8re fois en r\u00e9alit\u00e9. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
